CONTRACTORS PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT PROCESS EFFECTIVE
JULY 1, 2003
We have been informed by the NVC comptroller’s office that they will not
register a contract without a “certificate of insurance” issued by the
contractor’s insurance broker (also known as an ACORD certificate). A “NAIC”
number must be included on the certificate. In addition, except for worker’s
compensation the city of New York and the department of education must be
listed as additionally insured parties.
YOUR CONTRACT WILL NOT BE REGISTERED UNTIL THESE CERTIFICATES ARE SUBMITTED.
