Trips introduce new vocabulary, are a good resource for materials and
information, and present an excellent opportunity for students to use their
senses and sharpen their observational skills.
Trip topics and locations
are an outgrowth of the children's interests related to the ongoing curriculum
and should be developmentally appropriate. For many pupils, a trip may be
one of the few opportunities they have to travel, and these trips may result
in memories that last a lifetime.
