Please note that permits are only for
Department of Education employees with a license and a motor vehicle at their
disposal.
Also, please note the following restrictions:
* Permits are not transferable and must not be obtained for spouses or other
relatives.
* These permits must not under any circumstances be duplicated, copied or used
in any other manner than the intended use.
* Permits are honored only in the areas outside of those school buildings which
have a sign posted with a rider that states that a section is designated for
Department (Board) of Education employees during a specific time.
* The permit is not a permit for “official business”. It only allows parking in
designated areas. There are no other privileges with this permit.
* If a parking ticket is received, the Division of School Facilities cannot
intervene. This is a matter for the Parking Violations Bureau to determine. The
recipient is responsible for documenting all “not guilty”
pleas in cases where tickets are issued incorrectly.
* Permit is intended for use at assigned school only, except for staff that has
official business outside of their assigned work location.
* All schools should be aware that visiting staff from other schools and
administrative offices have a right to park in the designated areas. These
areas are not reserved for any specific employee or group of
employees.
If there is any abuse of a permit, the Division of School
Facilities may invalidate the permit and notify the Department of
Transportation accordingly. In addition, in cases where there
are violations of these rules, the Division of School Facilities reserves the
right to deny or restrict future applications.
